Sustainable agriculture encompasses a wide range of farming systems that seek to balance the long-term goals of economic profitability, environmental stewardship, and quality of life for the farmers and their communities.
The purpose of The Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture (MISA) is to bring together the diverse interests of the agricultural community with interests from across the University community in a cooperative effort to develop and promote sustainable agriculture in Minnesota and beyond.
MISA is housed on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota in the Department of Agronomy and Plant Genetics.
