MISA's by-laws were developed through extensive consultation between University of Minnesota administrators and members of the Sustainers' Coalition.
The by-laws represent a balance of power between the Sustainers' Coalition and the University of Minnesota. This balance is reflected in the composition of the MISA Board of Directors and in MISA's other governance structures.
