Digging In ...
We welcome those who would like to learn more about sustainable agriculture, combining intellectual knowledge, hands-on experience and good hard work. An internship at Earthrise offers the opportunity to explore:
- Simple and holistic living - Garden and farm planning - Organic food production - Greenhouse operation - Soils and fertility - Composting - Marketing - Educational programming with local schools - Food preservation and canning - Cooking and baking - Poultry tending Interns will take part in field trips to area farms and local organizations to gain a deeper connection to the community surrounding the farm. This area has a rich diversity of sustainable farming practices as well as progressive environmental philosophies which add value to our community. As part of the experience we ask that each intern develop a project of his/her own that will be presented to the community at the close of the season.
