Featherstone Fruits and Vegetables is a 70 acre fresh-market produce farm near Rushford, MN.  The farm has been certified organic since 1997, and domestic fair trade since 2007.  More information on the farm is available at www.featherstonefarm.com.

Featherstone Farm employs between 25-30 people from April through November, and 6-8 throughout the winter.  The farm is committed to providing on-the-job training for young people interested in exploring CSA or truck farming.  Summer internships for students are available, as well as full time employment following graduation.

All Featherstone employees have a certain amount of exposure to all aspects of the farm’s operations, but many are asked to focus to some degree on a few areas (ex: greenhouse or tractor work or CSA packing) where they can take real responsibility.  This responsibility and experience, in turn, is the very best teacher.  The farm attempts to write a job description for each employee based on his/her particular abilities and experience.

Featherstone Farm provides a competitive wage (based on experience), produce and housing for the majority of its employees, in accordance with its fair trade program.
