Current Operation
Morgan Creek Vineyards is a ten acre farm site located along the Morgan Creek, a tributary to the Minnesota River, approximately 15 miles west of Mankato. The site includes an energy efficient underground Farm Winery and separate family dwelling. The 3 acre vineyard currently is being maintained with minimal organic practices. The 2007 growing season will be focused on transitioning the vineyard to Biodynamic practices. By 2010 the winery will introduce a line of biodynamic wines from this 2 acre estate vineyard.
The winery is open to the public Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The winery offers public tours and Saturdays and Sundays. European style flatbreads/pizza are prepared from local foods and baked in the winery’s outdoor wood fired oven for visitors. A full schedule of seasonal events involving local artisans and musicians are offered from May through December including a gourmet cooking series on food and wine pairing.
