Successful candidates must travel to the Goddard College campus (in Plainfield, Vermont)  for the October 11-20, 2008 and

April 15-24, 2009 residency and pre-residency faculty meetings. 

 Please visit our website:  www.goddard.edu.  This is not a typical teaching position.  There are no classes at Goddard.  Each student’s program of study is self-designed and the faculty advisor role is one of mentoring/advising.  Advising occurs during residency and over the course of 5 packet exchanges over the approximately 15 week semester.

Terminal degrees are required for most faculty positions; teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level; and participation in an on-site residency and subsequent supervision and written exchange with independent study students of diverse learning styles. Cross-disciplinary approach with experience and commitment to student-centered, progressive pedagogy is important.

Part-time workload and compensation vary depending on student enrollment and assigned program.  Salary will be approximately $6,432 to $9,601 per semester.  Faculty are eligible for dental and life insurance, and long-term disability.
