SFA goals include development of a support group for family farmers to acquire knowledge and understanding of economically and environmentally sound practices of production farming. We are currently working on a Poultry Collaborative which involves 13 farmers who desire to direct market chicken to the consumer. A part of this group is also interested in wholesaling to grocers, restaurants, etc. Any retail or wholesale sales experience would be helpful. We would like to find a creative, motivated individual who would like to learn first hand about direct marketing and try their hand at it.
