The farm is a sole proprietorship; we host exchange students via MAST program in season. Sam is the principal person on the farm, Rachel is in charge of the accounting & recipes, in addition to a full-time position at an insurance company in St. Paul. Although we are approaching retirement age we hope to keep active for as long as health allows.
The farm includes 28 a. land, of which 10 a. are seeded with green manure and 4 in rotational crops. The balance is planted into orchard, berries & ornamental plants. Facilities include on-site store, 2 greenhouses, coldframes, barn, seasonal retail greenhouse, storage cooler & shop, nursery display area, rose garden. We’ve practiced natural farming for the last 10 years & became certified organic in 2006. Our goal is to offer healthy produce throughout the growing season, as well as finding marketing niches for new products & services, while maintaining a viable economic enterprise.
